Rosa acicularis
This perennial, shrubby plant has stout and branched stems and features pink, saucer shaped petals. They average 0.3-1.5 m in height.
Leaves are coarse, double-toothed oblong elliptic round at base and somewhat hairy on the underside.
2-3 stalked flowers are pink, 5-7cm across and feature saucer shaped petals.
The Prickly Rose is commonly found in open forests, grassy slopes, river terraces, streambanks, clearings and thickets in lowland and subalpine zones.
